The process of analysis is to identify the variables, then eliminate the factors that are not the problem. A client complained that when dictating an email when dictating an email the text would duplicate the text would duplicate.   Click here for this week's music. The first step in analysis is to ask questions. Find out in what environment the malfunction occurred. What operating system is being used? In which application did it occur? What changes occurred on the computer between correct operation and malfunction? What does Google know about the situation? What are the variables?: System malfunction. Small revelation

Sometimes in life there occurs a small revelation. I have been trying to control my anger with tailgaters. I swore out loud when they trailered me on the highway     Click here for this week's music. Google is not the Internet

Google is not the Internet, it is an index of everything on the Internet. In the beginning of the Internet the creator of the Internet, Tim Berners-Lee, compiled a virtual library (vlib.org) of all websites. This was manually written. I remember this directory being available in a printed paper form.     Click here for this week's music. The format of vlib was like a Table of Contents in a book, grouping websites into categories. Obviously, vlib could not keep up with the exponential growth of the Internet. In 1995 Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) launched AltaVista search engine at altavista.digital.com....

Brain in a box

In order to think out of the box, I keep my brain in a box. So that I don’t forget things I trick myself into remembering. When I leave the house I only have to remember three things. 1.Keys - so I can drive. 2.Fanny pack - for commerce, food and health. 3.My iPhone - for everything else.   Click here for this week's music. As I mature my level of intensity has lowered. I find that human foibles don’t bother me as much any more. There are many things that IDGAD about nowadays. IDGAD about an intractable opinion born of narrow exclusive exposure to conservative news. I hope that those minds are opened to all the points of view that politics affords. Last to the table

In all things, timing is everything. Timing is a balance between an event which is completed on schedule and the quality of its delivery. The cook in my house is often last to the table. The making of Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Avacado (BLTA) sandwiches is a good example of why this lateness of the cook to the table occurs.     Click here for this week's music.
